In this lunch workshop, “No Mask. No Problem.® Mask-Free NIV™ for Spontaneously Breathing Patients,” Dr. Betancourt will cover the:

• Physiologic basis of HVNI as a form of NIV.
• Mechanisms of action of how HVNI impacts that physiology.
• Clinical data supporting HVNI as non-inferior to NiPPV in the management of undifferentiated respiratory distress.

Dr. Betancourt has over 18 years’ experience as a physician including more than 3 years’ experience practicing in an Emergency Medicine setting, 2.5 years as a Hospitalist, and 8 years’ experience as a Pulmonary Intensivist in the Greater Los Angeles Area.
